I dont think they will let you overtake someones ship and blow it up though, I mean I think the main ships are mainly for transportation purposes. And then you have a few space fighting quests on the side. It would suck if you put all your time and money into upgrading your ship just to have it blown up ya know.

yeah, it is not going to happen, it is just space combat...how would you board someones starship in the middle of a battle anyway. There would be no point in doing that, it would be very unrealistic...

They've had boarding parties in the middle of battle a lot in starwars novels... so how would it not be realistic to board an enemy ship in the middle of battle... they as well did it in every battle front that had space combat... as well when you are flying your ship around in battle it can be distroyed so no you don't have to worry about lossing anything if you do die... and they may be making open space for free roaming in the future but I don't think it will be right now...

yeah, but these are small fighters, and they boarded capitol ships and frigates, not small fighters and freighters...

yeah, but i totally get what he means, but with a bunch of little ships flying around it seems foolhardy to try and board one, unless it were a bigger ship, like a corvette, I imagine if there were going to be boarding parties, that it would be used for that type of ship, not someones personal ship...
