I think darth maul is, but as for him getting owned by a padawan... he himself was just an apprentice... Obi-wan could be Qui-gon in a lightsaber fight as just a padawan...

ahh, i have to disagree, darh maul was not the worst sith, i f anything it was Alema Rar, she absolutely sucked, she barely could walk...

and as an addition, Darth Maul killed a Master, yeah, the only reason Qui-Gon was not on the council was because he did not agree on every thing, so NO, darth maul was not the worst sith ever, you guys are forgetting about all the other sith who failed. And there is a book on darth maul, and he is and was the best in that book...so why don't you guys do some research and really find out who the worst sith was, because it was NOT Darth Maul...

He may have been the best in the book but that doesn't mean he wasn't the worst either... and like I said he may have killed a master but Obi-wan would have deffeated Qui-gon in a fight...

To be honest I think Count Dooku was the worst, I mean think about it did you actually read or see him KILL any Jedi, all I can think of damage wise was that he cut off Anakin's arm, please tell me what you think, but yea I really don't think Darth Maul was the worst.

you guys all have a good point, but maul was not the worst, you guys have to understand that he is beast the entire time, he went up against two jedi, and unfortunately he died, but what sith hasn't...

Well count dooku was pretty bad, but like he went up agains the same thing darth maul did and then yoda... and survived... they only reason he died in episode three was because Anakin had mastered his style of saberfighting and was just about the best out there when it came to the lightsaber... as for Alema Rar she wasn't even a sith... she was a joiner gone darkside after the Joiner conflict ended so she was a dark jedi/joiner without a hive...

yes, but she was treated as a sith, and the same could be said for Ventress, but she wasn't half bad, all i am saying is Alema was a sith just as Lumiya was, she learned more than most sith could, but did not have the power to back it up because she lacked the training, but she is still a sith, but a sith acolyte at best...

to an extent? How is that to an extent, it is exactly how she was treated, she was told to protect Jacen, so she is considered a sith at that point, but once again, she is not the best at that. But seriously, how many sith can you name that can project a force ghost that can actually fight, but when it dies it takes the life of a host...that is totally sith, Lumiya would not teach that to more of a dark jedi unless it was under extreme circumstances, there was a huge group of sith on Korriban remember?

Things seem to be getting heated... This is a topic of personal opinion.... nobody is wrong. I personally think Dooku was the worst but darth maul was pretty bad.

darth maul was awesome, but he wasn't ready to do that, sidious should have gone himself, but that would just throw everything off...

I personaly would've liked Maul to survive more than one movie, but theoretically he did survive I guess now that I think about it. He became part cyborg in the comics. But I still think that Dooku was the worst

i read one comic where sideous had darth maul put back together and had a faceoff with vader. they were on a volcanic world and it ended by vader implaling him and throwing him down a lava fall
